A recent <a href="https://www.fastcasual.com/news/restaurant-sales-flat-but-traffic-still-vanishing-along-with-employees/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=fast-casual-restaurant-sales-flat-but-traffic-still-vanishing-along-with-employees-2706776" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Fast Casual </a>article detailed a TDn2K&nbsp;report that outlined the past three months of&nbsp;chain store sales data. The report stated that chain store comp sales grew 0.8 percent, while comp traffic dipped&nbsp;to 2.9 percent in May.&nbsp;TDn2K&nbsp;noted that this drop off isn&#39;t a concern because chain stores have seen flat or positive same-store growth for three months straight, which is a good sign.&nbsp;

In addition, guest count continues to decrease, but those who do visit are spending more, therefore pushing sales into the positives.&nbsp;

The report went on to detail the positive sales seen in the Western portion of the U.S. while New England has seen a 2.4 percent decline in sales and 5.1 percent decline in traffic. It also noted the turnover is the highest it&#39;s been in decades for both hourly and management-level staff.&nbsp;
