According to a&nbsp;<a href="https://bit.ly/2HqwWNC?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=fast-casual-skinnypizza-squeezes-into-connecticut-2706229" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="color:rgb(17, 85, 204)" target="_blank">recent article in Fast Casual</a>, the brand has announced that the opening of the new location will occur this week. It will serve as the company&#39;s first restaurant in the state.

Since 2009, the brand has specialized in delivering New York-style pizza with a healthier spin. SkinnyPizza menu items are lower calorie and lower carbohydrate than traditional pizzas. The brand is also working on a cauliflower crust to allow consumers an opportunity to reduce carb intake even further.

The brand offers a build-your-own pizza model that allows customers to mix and match different fresh ingredients for a flat price. SkinnyPizza hopes to have 15 restaurants open and operating by 2020.&nbsp;
