Fast Casual: Tinder-like app hopes to drive restaurant traffic

Swiping left or right is no longer reserved only for dating apps. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, a new app called FoodFaves will utilize this method to help users find nearby restaurants.

The app's algorithm will learn the user's food preferences and point them in the direction of locations serving those dishes within the range of a few miles. Users are then able to review the restaurants and dishes within the app to let friends know about their experiences. 

The app provides an opportunity for restaurants to showcase high quality images of their dishes to attract nearby consumers. Photos that are submitted to the app will appear directly in the newsfeed of potential customers.
