After seeing great results from franchisee and Vietnam Veteran Tony Hardin, Togo&rsquo;s wants to waive franchisee fees for two veterans. According to a <a href="https://www.fastcasual.com/news/togos-waiving-franchisee-fees-for-vets/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=fast-casual-togos-waiving-franchisee-fees-for-vets-12545" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">recent Fast Casual article</a>, the brand will waive initial franchise fees for two veterans between May 29, 2017 and Labor Day. Hardin has found that skills such as leadership and camaraderie that he learned during his time in the army have helped him run a successful business.

&quot;We hope this offer will provide a compelling opportunity for a veteran to become the owner of their very own business,&quot; said Glenn Lunde, president of Togo&#39;s. &quot;We value everything our military veterans have done for this country, and respect the vast skills they can bring to our business. We don&rsquo;t require our franchisee candidates to have restaurant experience. We look for someone who is hard-working, understands the importance of team-building, demonstrates good leadership skills, and is passionate about guest satisfaction.&quot;

Close to one in seven franchisee businesses are veteran-owned with a total of more than 66,000 in the U.S. Franchising provides veterans a great opportunity to transition from military life and use the skills they learned. Incentives like this one from Togo&rsquo;s will only further provide opportunities for veterans moving back into civilian life.
