Fast Casual: Tropical Smoothie Cafe signs multi-unit deal for Florida expansion

Tropical Smoothie has plans to open an additional eight locations in Florida. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, the deal was signed with existing Tampa franchisee Emily Harrington. Prior to the new deal, she owned an existing four locations and had plans to open a fifth in January. This will expand her ownership to a total of thirteen units.

"It's because of our passionate and committed franchisees like Emily Harrington that Tropical Smoothie Cafe has accelerated development and rapidly grown its footprint nationwide. Since joining the company last year, Emily's industry expertise has been a driving force in our efforts to further expand in the brand's founding state of Florida and we're proud to have her as a partner in our franchisee network," said CEO Mike Rotondo.

Harrington hopes to one day own a total of fifty locations across the state of Florida. She is no stranger to franchising as she previously owned nearly fifty Hardee's locations.
