Everyone Loves a Helping Hand: Why Kristina Scardine Won Fitness Premier 24/7 Club’s MVP Award
The Director of Franchise Support has risen up the ranks to become a two-time winner.
Fitness Premier 24/7 Clubs, the emerging exercise brand, has given Director of Franchise Support Kristina Scardine its annual MVP award for her incredible work with the brand’s franchisees.
“It definitely means a lot,” Scardine said. “I received it in 2021, and I also received a similar award in 2019. It's very humbling to know that everybody really appreciates everything that I do on a day-to-day basis because a lot of times, I'm literally just there to help.”
Scardine started in the corporate office with Fitness Premier in 2013 when the brand only had three locations. Initially, she was working as billing support, calling members with past due payments or frozen accounts. As the years went on and the business expanded, her role grew.
“I would handle all the billing and visit our locations once a month to make sure that they were operating well, staying clean and had nothing that they needed help with. The role evolved over the course of the nine years, and as we started getting more locations, it grew into helping get those locations open and helping manage their day-to-day operations,” Scardine explained.
Now, when a new location is opened, Scardine’s primary role is to stand right alongside the new owners and help ensure that the opening is as smooth as possible. Even after the opening process is finished, Scardine is still available to help if there are any questions that need to be answered. Her helpfulness is one of the main reasons why she won the MVP award.
Scardine has learned a lot of communication skills over the last nine years at Fitness Premier. When she started at the company, she was very shy, but over time she has learned to come out of her shell and talk to people all day long. It’s this communication skill she has developed that has allowed her to be so helpful to new franchisees throughout the opening process and beyond.
The brand is currently in a growth mindset, with 19 locations, and looking to expand. Scardine’s advice to anyone interested in becoming a Fitness Premier franchisee is to trust the process. “A lot of times you have potential franchisees that are really excited and want to dive in headfirst,” she said. “They really want to get things started, but it doesn't always happen as quickly or in the way they would want it to. In those situations, it’s best to just be patient and trust both the process and that everything that the franchise has learned over the last 20 years will pay off in the end.”
The total initial investment necessary to begin the operation of a Fitness Premier Club Model is $279,849 to $575,499, including a $39,999 franchise fee. For more information, visit https://fitforyoufranchising.com/fitness-premier-24-7-clubs/.
