The female-founded dance fitness brand is expanding with its first franchise opening and plans for the launch of eight more locations this year.

Fly Dance Fitness, a female-founded fitness franchise, has launched its first franchised location in Johns Creek, Georgia. This marks the start of an ambitious plan to open eight locations this year. The company emphasizes the mental health benefits of dance, meeting the growing demand for dance-based workouts.
While the brand has reported a surge of interest from prospective franchisees, it has maintained a commitment to careful, strategic growth. Rather than focusing on the number of units awarded, the team worked to identify entrepreneurs who would uphold the brand standards as Fly Dance Fitness grows, including the mandate that all locations are owner-operated.
The owner-operator model has long been recognized as a great way to encourage franchisee involvement and successful locations. Though it’s certainly not the only way for a brand to succeed, having the owner involved in the day-to-day operations of their investment can lead to a more consistent brand experience and higher level of service. This hands-on involvement can also boost feelings of connection within the community.
As Fly Dance Fitness continues to grow, it is looking forward to upcoming openings in Lakewood Ranch, Florida; San Antonio, Texas; Knoxville, Tennessee; and South Jordan, Utah.
“We are beyond ecstatic to bring Fly Dance Fitness to new communities with the launch of our first franchise locations,” CEO Stacey Marks told Athletech News. “Our goal has always been bringing our signature experience to other cities while inspiring people to live healthier, happier lives through the joy of dance fitness. The franchise launch marks our biggest milestone yet in the history of Fly Dance Fitness. We can’t wait to welcome guests through our doors across the country!”
