Food & Wine: Magnolia Bakery Honors 20th Anniversary of Sex and the City

It’s been 20 years since the world was introduced to Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha, and most fans of the show know the iconic scene where Carrie and Miranda sit on a park bench enjoying Magnolia Bakery cupcakes while dishing on their love lives. While this scene only lasted one minute and seventeen seconds, it sparked an entire phenomenon surrounding the New York City bakery .

Today, Food and Wine disclosed on June 6^th Magnolia Bakery is giving away their signature Carrie cupcakes — vanilla cake with pink pastel buttercream and a daisy flower on top — to honor the show’s 20^th anniversary.

Along with handing out cupcakes (while supplies last) on June 6^th, the Magnolia Bakery will be running an Instagram contest for a chance to win one dozen of Carrie Bradshaw’s favorite treats. Fans must follow @magnoliabakery on Instagram and post a photo of themselves recreating the park bench scene. Three winners will be chosen by Friday, June 8.
