Footprints Floors Hosts 2023 Cultivate Convention in Chandler, Arizona
The theme of the brand’s annual convention was “Cultivate,” reminding franchisees of the value of proactive business ownership.
After a monumental growth year in 2022, Footprints Floors, the 160-plus unit flooring installation concept, converged in Chandler, Arizona for its annual convention. In preparation for another strong year, franchisees participated in expos, networking, demonstrations and more.
“It’s absolutely crucial that we gather,” explained Bryan Park, CEO of Footprints Floors. “It’s a big part of who we are and what we do. With franchisees scattered all around the country, getting together once a year helps us to instill our culture, pass along information and remind franchisees that there is an entire network of people working toward a common goal.
The convention was kicked off by speaker Kayleen McCabe, former host of Rescue Renovation, who addressed mental health, and a word from Park, welcoming franchisees to the event and celebrating the aligned learning and connection that would occur during the convention.
For the remainder of the week, franchisees participated in 20 classroom breakout sessions, six product demos and an expo with approximately 30 Footprints Floors corporate partners and vendors. To close out the week, Footprints Floors presented awards to franchise partners and announced the members of its new Franchise Advisory Council.
Dan and Laura Hermansen were recognized as Best Reviewed Franchisee, Matt Gilstrap was recognized as Rookie of the Year, Aaron Benedict was awarded Best in Sales, Ashton Dorsett received Project of the Year and Josh and Natalia Byrd were awarded both Franchisee of the Year and Most Revenue in a Month.
Notably, the first Footprints Floors Franchise Advisory Council was also established. The council is made up of five franchisees who will represent the entirety of the brand’s franchisee network as it works with the corporate team to develop ideas and implement new changes within the brand. Both the corporate team and fellow franchisees collaborated to establish Adnan Alhaider, Alan Boden, Matt Therriault, Matt Gilstrap and Shawna Eikenberry as the five members of the council alongside a corporate team member. With this formalized system in place, the brand’s franchise owners now have a streamlined process of communications and additional source of support heading into the year.
“We spent a lot of time on the idea of cultivating this year,” Park explained. “What ‘cultivate’ means to us is growth, and there’s a proactive aspect of the word. You can’t just sit back and expect things to happen; you have to be tilling the land. This year, we reiterated to our franchisees to be proactive in their businesses and truly take ownership of them. We’re here to help the owners cultivate, and we have all of the tools, knowledge, techniques and resources they need. We’re happy to help them cultivate their own land.”
As the company takes on its tenth year of franchising, it is looking to maintain the pattern of growth it achieved in 2022 and lean into even more strategic partnerships.
The startup costs for a Footprints Floors franchise range from $78,505 to $113,030, including a franchise fee of $69,480 for a single territory. To learn more about franchising with Footprints Floors, visit https://footprintsfranchise.com/.
