Industry vet Tim Casey joins Quizno&rsquo;s and Taco del Mar as the companies&rsquo; new CEO&mdash;and head of the newly formed Rego Restaurant Group&mdash;according to an article in <a href="https://www.nrn.com/people/industry-veteran-tim-casey-tapped-ceo-quiznos?NL=NRN-01a&amp%3BIssue=NRN-01a_20190104_NRN-01a_514&amp%3Bsfvc4enews=42&amp%3Bcl=article_1_b&amp%3Butm_rid=CPG06000011957589&amp%3Butm_campaign=27728&amp%3Butm_medium=email&amp%3Belq2=db6d1337ff634a90b9eb2c1d27255660&utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=former-inspire-brands-exec-tim-casey-steps-in-as-quiznos-new-ceo-2708790" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">Nation&rsquo;s Restaurant News</a>. Rego Restaurant group is &ldquo;a subsidiary of private equity firm High Bluff Capital Partners, which acquired both brands last summer,&rdquo; according to the article. 

&ldquo;Casey replaces Gerry Lopez, who oversaw High Bluff&rsquo;s mid-2018 acquisitions of Quiznos and Taco Del Mar,&rdquo; the article said. Casey comes from Inspire Brands and has &ldquo;extensive experience working at limited-service brands including Qdoba, PepperJax Grill, Mrs. Fields, Rusty Taco and Starbucks,&rdquo; the article said.

In a statement, &ldquo;Casey said he is excited to join High Bluff as it &lsquo;looks to continue the revitalization of Quiznos and Taco Del Mar, increase its brand portfolio and extend this innovative platform,&rsquo;&rdquo; according to the article.
