Michael Mabry has been named first development chief of the Texas-based taco franchise.
Over the past four months, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop’s executive team has acquired three vice presidents in an effort to establish a strong foundation for ramping up the brand’s franchising development. Fuzzy’s Taco Shop’s appointment of Michael Mabry as lead franchise developer completes the brand’s recent leadership team expansion.
Mabry comes to Fuzzy’s Tacos with plenty of experience, most recently serving as president and chief operating officer of Texas-based MOOYAH Burgers, Fries and Shakes. With Fuzzy’s Tacos, Mabry will lead franchise development, specifically aiming to streamline the real estate and construction processes, according to Nation’s Restaurant News.
Founded in Fort Worth, Texas in 2003, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop has been franchising since 2007. In recent years, the company has been expanding and seeks to continue that trend. With more than 130 franchised locations in 16 states, the company is eager for new franchisees to join the Fuzzy’s family, seeing great promise in Mabry’s appointment.
Nation’s Restaurant News stated the company will maintain brand standards and menu offerings, encouraging franchise locations to represent both its operator and the communities in which it serves. Mabry followed up, stating that in his new role, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop will continue “to capture the special things that have made [the brand] successful and adapt them into processes that can be easily replicated as we grow.”
