Online marketplace for student loan refinancing, LendEDU, recently conducted a survey of millennials and according to a <a href="http://www.foxbusiness.com/features/2017/05/24/despite-fake-news-problems-40-millennials-turn-to-facebook-for-news.html?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=fox-business-despite-fake-news-problems-40-of-millennials-turn-to-facebook-for-news-12328" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">recent Fox Business article</a>, Facebook was reported to be the main new source for 40 percent of millennials surveyed. Twitter received 16 percent, Instagram received 4 percent, while other news sites received 40 percent of the vote.

&ldquo;With all of the recent news regarding fake news articles running rampant on the social networking site, this is certainly a worrisome trend developing where consumers rely on Facebook stories, accurate or not, to keep them informed,&rdquo; said Mike Brown, Research Analyst at LendEDU.

The survey also found that depending on your political party, you may or may not have chosen Facebook as your main news source. Conservative voters were more likely to say that other news sites were their main source, and those who voted left were more likely to say that Facebook was their main source.
