While Amazon dominated the holiday shopping season with its e-commerce platform, it was far from the only winner as 2017 came to a close. A recent article on Fox Business notes that the past record-breaking shopping season was also big for traditional retailers.

On Monday, retailers began previewing their fourth-quarter earnings that are expected to officially be announced within a few weeks. One of those companies is Kohl’s, which announced that holiday sales increased by 6.9 percent during the two-month holiday period, with comparable sales also up 6.9 percent. In a statement quoted by Fox Business, Kohl’s CEO Kevin Mansell said, “All lines of business and all regions reported positive comp sales. As expected, growth in digital demand accelerated significantly in the holiday period from the year-to-date trend. In addition, we experienced positive sales in our stores driven by stronger traffic.”

Other brands that are anticipating strong fourth quarter results are Lululemon, New York & Company, The Children’s Place and Crocs, Inc.
