Toward the beginning of every year, top organizations in the franchising industry release their annual rankings of the top business ownership opportunities. From Entrepreneur Magazine’s Franchise 500 to Franchise Gator’s Top 100, these lists are designed to highlight the opportunities that are on the right path. However, there’s only one annual ranking that’s determined based on a brand’s level of franchisee satisfaction: Franchise Business Review’s FBR50 Franchisee Satisfaction Awards.

After surveying thousands of franchise owners across North America, Franchise Business Review publishes a list of the year’s top franchise opportunities based entirely on franchisee satisfaction. Kona Ice topped the overall top 50 list, followed by Wild Birds Unlimited, Keller Williams, MaidPro and Pinch a Penny. Sotheby’s International Realty, CruiseOne, FASTSIGNS, Home Instead Senior Care and Precision Concrete Cutting then rounded out the top 10.

In addition to releasing the overall top 50 list, Franchise Business Review also ranks business ownership opportunities by brand size, including enterprise brands that are made up of 300-plus units, large concepts that boast between 130 and 300 units, midsize franchises that fall in the 75 to 130 unit range, and small brands that have less than 75 locations.
