FACE FOUNDRIÉ is a modern facial bar concept built around fast, approachable and results-driven skin care. The brand offers 20- to 50-minute facials, waxing, lashes, brows and skin care products in a retail-style environment designed to make professional skin care feel more accessible than the traditional spa or medspa experience.

1. What Is the Brand Overview for FACE FOUNDRIÉ?

About the Brand

FACE FOUNDRIÉ was founded in 2019 by entrepreneur Michele Henry, who previously built the PRIMP boutique chain into eight locations across the Midwest. After the birth of her third child, Henry struggled to find skin care services that fit the demands of a busy schedule while addressing concerns like hormonal changes and aging. Recognizing a gap in the market, she created FACE FOUNDRIÉ to offer convenient, affordable facial and skin care services in a modern, walk-in-friendly setting. Following the success of the first location, Face Foundrié Franchising L.L.C. was formed in April 2020, and the company began offering franchise opportunities the following month.

Mission: FACE FOUNDRIÉ’s mission is to make skin care affordable, approachable and accessible while empowering customers to look and feel their best through efficient services, trained experts and an inclusive environment.

Vision: FACE FOUNDRIÉ’s vision is to redefine the skin care experience by bringing high-quality, results-driven facial services into more communities through a modern, scalable facial bar model.

3. What Franchisee Support Does FACE FOUNDRIÉ Provide?

FACE FOUNDRIÉ provides franchisees with support before opening, throughout launch and during ongoing operations. According to Item 11 of the 2026 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor assists franchisees with everything from site selection and construction through training, marketing and operational coaching.

Pre-Opening Support

Before a franchisee opens, FACE FOUNDRIÉ provides comprehensive support throughout the development process. The franchisor assists with site selection and market analysis, lease review and approval, store design and construction, build-out specifications, equipment procurement, vendor sourcing and technology implementation. Franchisees also receive guidance on initial inventory purchases, grand opening planning and marketing, opening readiness reviews and construction inspections to ensure the new facial bar meets brand standards. Throughout development, each franchisee works with a dedicated project manager who coordinates every stage of the process, from signing the franchise agreement to opening day.

Training Programs

FACE FOUNDRIÉ requires franchisees to complete its Initial Training Program before opening, which covers all major aspects of operating the business. Training covers brand standards and culture, day-to-day operations, customer service, hiring and staffing, retail sales, membership sales, financial management, marketing, technology systems, inventory management, vendor ordering, sanitation and regulatory compliance, and leadership development. Beyond the initial program, the franchisor offers Manager Boot Camp training for promoted salon managers, replacement management training and additional onsite operational coaching when needed. Franchisees also benefit from ongoing educational programs throughout the franchise relationship, and the franchisor may require additional training if operational support is necessary.

Operational Support

Following opening, franchisees continue to receive operational support from the corporate team. This includes field operations coaching, regular business reviews, marketing assistance, brand-wide promotional campaigns, operational manuals, product updates, vendor management, performance benchmarking and quality assurance inspections. Franchisees also have access to ongoing communication from the corporate support team and participate in the brand's annual franchise convention. In addition to participating in national marketing initiatives, franchisees are responsible for executing local marketing efforts to build awareness and grow their businesses within their communities.

Technology and Tools

Technology plays an important role in the FACE FOUNDRIÉ operating system. The monthly Technology Fee covers a suite of business tools that currently includes website and mobile app hosting, recruiting software, digital communications platforms, email marketing systems, online training resources, performance analytics and benchmarking tools. Franchisees also utilize designated business management software and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms to manage appointments, memberships, customer communications and overall business performance, helping operators make informed decisions while delivering a consistent guest experience.

4. What Are the Franchisee Requirements for FACE FOUNDRIÉ?

Eligibility Criteria

  • Liquid Assets: $150,000
  • Net Worth: $500,000
  • Credit Score: 680+

FACE FOUNDRIÉ looks for franchise candidates who possess strong leadership skills, financial capability and a customer-first mindset. While esthetics or skin care experience can be beneficial, it is not required.

Operational Commitments

FACE FOUNDRIÉ is designed to be owner-operated or manager-run.

Many franchisees hire a full-time Salon Manager who oversees daily operations while ownership focuses on leadership, financial management, marketing and community involvement.

Multi-unit ownership is also supported through the Area Development Agreement program.

Funding Assistance

The franchisor does not directly finance franchise purchases. However, the brand indicates it works with third-party financing providers that may assist qualified franchisees with financing.

5. Are There Franchisee Success Stories?

“Taking the leap from corporate life to entrepreneurship felt like a huge personal win for me. Finding purpose in my work has been transformative—it’s no longer just a job, it’s something I genuinely enjoy pouring my energy into. With more flexibility, I’m able to prioritize what truly matters, whether it’s spending time with my team and family or handling administrative tasks.”

6. What Is the Market Potential for the Facial Bar and Skin Care Industry?

The U.S. spa sector continues to demonstrate steady growth as consumers place greater emphasis on wellness, self-care and stress reduction. Industry revenue reached $23.5 billion in 2025, up 4.2% year over year, while spa visits climbed to 191 million and the number of spa locations increased to more than 22,000 nationwide. Revenue per visit also rose to approximately $123, reflecting consumers’ willingness to spend more on wellness experiences. The broader outlook remains favorable as demand expands beyond traditional massage and skin care services into recovery, longevity, preventive wellness and personalized treatments. For operators, the combination of rising guest traffic, higher spending per visit and sustained consumer interest in wellness creates a strong foundation for continued growth.

Competitor Analysis

FACE FOUNDRIÉ competes within the broader beauty services industry but occupies a differentiated position between luxury spas and medical aesthetics providers.

Its primary competitors include: Heyday, Massage Envy (facial services), Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, European Wax Center and Woodhouse Spa.

FACE FOUNDRIÉ differentiates itself through its focused facial bar concept, efficient appointment model, accessible pricing, retail-driven experience and membership program that encourages repeat visits rather than occasional luxury treatments.
