For the latest iteration of its Franchise Development Website Awards, 1851 Franchise did a deep dive into more than 175 websites to determine the brands that stood out from the crowd.

1851’s panel of judges evaluated each franchise development site according to three criteria: quality of site, quality of content and quality of form. Sites were scored on a five-point scale in accordance with these three criteria for a maximum score of 15 total points; the overall website rankings are based on a composite average of these scores.

Over the course of the month of May, each of the top 20 franchise development sites as determined by the judges will be broken down, one by one, to highlight their strengths and what stood out to the judges.

Securing the No. 12 position on the 2019 Top 20 is Soldierfit, with a composite score of 11.6 out of 15. The growing fitness franchise scored a 3.8 in quality of site; a 3.6 in quality of content; and a 4.2 in quality of form.

“To achieve the continued growth we are after as a top emerging franchisor, we knew we needed to invest in a top-notch franchise development website and not just leave that task up to anyone,” Soldierfit VP of Franchise Development Jason Blough said, noting the brand ultimately selected Integrated Digital Strategies as its supplier partner due to the company’s experience in the franchise space.

“Our main goal with the site was to make our franchise offering as transparent as possible with lots of easy-to-find information about our industry and Soldierfit,” Blough continued. “We also wanted to lighten [the design] up compared to our old site in order to appeal more to women, who happen to be the majority of our members, and therefore, a demographic that we want to target as franchise owners."
