Franchise Times: Multi-Unit Franchisee Explains Why He Decided to Grow with Cousins Subs

As a doctor and multi-unit franchisee with Cousins Subs, Amit Patel has a lot on his schedule, especially with the recent 40-unit agreement with Cousins Subs in the Chicagoland area. Patel discussed how he balances being a doctor and multi-unit franchisee, the acquisition process and who has helped him get to where he is today.

"Here’s the big thing, if you look at it, it’s family owned. There’s a difference when it’s a franchise that is run by a family, they stick to it. That, and over the last year and a half, it has undergone significant change—not just from a superficial way, but how that franchise is run. Also, we know the Cousins Subs brand—all of my mom’s family is from Wisconsin. So a few of my cousins and uncles own some Cousins back there," said Patel.
