As a doctor and multi-unit franchisee with Cousins Subs,&nbsp;Amit&nbsp;Patel has a lot on his schedule, especially with the recent 40-unit agreement with&nbsp;Cousins&nbsp;Subs&nbsp;in the&nbsp;Chicagoland&nbsp;area. Patel discussed how he balances being a doctor and multi-unit franchisee, the acquisition process and who has helped him get to where he is today.

&quot;Here&rsquo;s the big thing, if you look at it, it&rsquo;s family owned. There&rsquo;s a difference when it&rsquo;s a franchise that is run by a family, they stick to it. That, and over the last year and a half, it has undergone significant change&mdash;not just from a superficial way, but how that franchise is run. Also, we know the Cousins Subs brand&mdash;all of my mom&rsquo;s family is from Wisconsin. So a few of my cousins and uncles own some Cousins back there,&quot; said Patel.&nbsp;&nbsp;
