It's a beautiful day for a ride, but your bike has a flat. Bummer.

Relax. Beeline Bikes is there for you. The franchise company is taking a new approach to the bicycle industry. By enabling customers to schedule a Mobile Bike Shop at the time and location of their choosing, they are reinventing how people interact with bike shops by providing the ultimate in customer convenience. You can schedule service at home or at work and the repairs are made while you wait.

There's a $29.99 minimum service fee to get a Beeline Bikes van to show up at your house or office. The franchise also offers a Pro Service feature that includes concierge pickup, repair and return service of your bike to your home or office starting at $129.99.

The company has been around for about two years and says it surpassed the expectations of thousands of customers by working with people at their homes and at more than 100 corporate partner locations throughout the San Francisco Bay area. The company says it doubled its fleet in 2014 and is offering franchise opportunities in several states.

Depending on the build-out package of the mobile shop, a Beeline Bikes franchise requires a total investment of $78,000 to $130,000.

The franchise points out that during the past six years, bike ridership in the U.S. has increased by 42 percent, but the number of bike shops has declined by more than 400. Beeline Bikes estimates that more than 100 million bikes are sitting in garages in need of some TLC.

Get out and ride again.
