What do you want us to know?Stephen McCreary: I was a truck driver for 11 years. I just stopped driving a truck in April of this year. When I decided I was going to come off the road, I said, “Okay, what do I want to do?”I wanted to make comparable money. That’s when I started thinking about business opportunities. I think I’m an entrepreneur because this is my third business in 10 or 15 years. I started looking up businesses and saw franchises. I just happened to look into painting. As long as you don’t lose hope, stay optimistic and keep a positive attitude, you can embrace that pivot, go in a new direction and not be afraid. Life can be scary. We don’t always win or succeed right away. But one thing’s for sure — if you stop or quit, you’ll never grow or be successful. If you keep going, one step at a time — slowly but surely — you’ll get where you want to go. I truly believe slow and steady wins the race.You could not have told me 20 years ago that this would be my franchise. My mind was totally somewhere else.
