While the state only requires a minimum of driving hours, SafeWay goes above the requirement to ensure drivers are fully trained.</span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">"There is a difference between getting your license and learning how to be a safe driver," said Ann Littmann, Vice President of SafeWay Driving. "The difference between our driving school and a lot of the ones out there is we focus on a lot of in-car training for students. The state limit is just seven hours of driving which really isn't enough to be proficient. We focus on the national standard which is 10 hours of driving."</span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">Denise Wilhite, the lead instructor at SafeWay, does not take her job lightly.</span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">"We're passionate about teen lives," Wilhite said." "We want them to be able to travel from home, school, and be safe in their car. As a parent that's what we want.
