Founded in 2010 and named after the company’s founder Dr. Jean Griswold, the Jean Griswold Foundation continues her legacy of supporting care professionals. Yearly, the Griswold National Caregiver Scholarship Program aims to assist family caregivers, professional caregivers and those aspiring to enter the care industry. The scholarships are designed to enhance training, certification and degree advancement within the field, empowering caregivers to continually develop their skills and provide superior quality care.

“It’s our mission and greatest privilege to support caregivers as they advance their education and future careers,” said Sarah Latini, Director of the Jean Griswold Foundation. “Many of our recipients have never applied for or received a scholarship before, and we’re proud to put our support behind each and every scholar!  We know that education can be life changing, and their dedication and dreams for the future will impact so many families throughout the country!”

The recipients of this year’s scholarships are a diverse group, each with a unique dedication to caregiving. Amidst the growing demand for in-home care and ongoing staffing challenges in the industry, the Griswold National Caregiver Scholarship Program remains more crucial than ever. It serves not only to recognize but also to support the essential role caregivers play in our society, often without adequate recognition. This program aligns with Griswold’s continuous commitment to caregiver support and development, further establishing Griswold as a preferred employer within the senior care sector.

“When Jean Griswold started this company in 1982, she made sure that she was able to give back,” said Murray. “We founded the Jean Griswold Foundation as a tribute to her compassionate legacy. She deeply cared for the clients she served and was equally committed to supporting the caregivers, who are indispensable to our mission.”
