Texas residents could soon see heroes walking their neighborhood streets as Buzz Franchise Brands newest concept Home Clean Heroes* looks to bring its superior residential cleaning services to the Lone Star State.

Trading out the old-timey terms “maid” and “housekeeper” for “heroes,” Home Clean Heroes offers customers a new standard of safe, reliable and customizable service, striving to raise the bar for the industry as a whole. The brand originated in Virginia Beach, VA, launching in the spring of 2017, and began offering its franchise concept to new markets nationwide in the fall of 2018.

Buzz Franchise Brands has focused on providing quality services to the home since its launch with founding brand Mosquito Joe* and has seen success developing in Southern states like Florida and Texas, most recently, with its pool maintenance franchise Pool Scouts*. Since 2017, Pool Scouts has sold 12 territories in the Austin, Houston, and Dallas markets, currently making it the state with the largest brand presence.

Pool Scouts director of franchise development Timothy Holadia says a similar clientele that uses Pool Scouts would also benefit from the services that Home Clean Heroes offers.

“Areas with disposable income help make us successful,” Holadia said. “Higher income households, like those found in the Houston area for example, typically are willing to spend the money on house cleaning services whereas those in other areas of the state might choose to clean their home themselves.”

Similarly, spending the money on services like Home Clean Heroes not only ensures that the job is done properly and done well, but it also gives time-starved parents the opportunity to kick back, relax and spend more time with their families.

Holadia likens the analogy to that of a mechanic. A mechanic that spends his/her entire day working might not want to come home and work on his/her car. Holadia says the same goes for homeowners. They would rather come home and spend time in their home, not cleaning it. Time is more valuable to them than saving a few dollars, which has become the crux of Buzz Franchise Brands’ consumer positioning.

As a result, Buzz Franchise Brands has not only picked up steam with customers, but also from potential franchisees looking to capitalize on the lucrative industry. One example is Pool Scouts franchisee Mike Blake, who owned his own pool service business prior to converting it into a Pool Scouts franchise. The reason? He loved the mission behind the brand.

“Customer service is Buzz Franchise Brands’ top priority,” said Blake. “What we are doing with this pool service and maintenance brand is delivering a higher level of professionalism than any other concept on the market.”

Holadia expects to find similar success with Home Clean Heroes, with privately-owned home cleaning businesses turning to the brand for conversion opportunities, to take their local business to the next level with a professional brand and the support of an experienced, business-minded team. While there are several big players utilizing a similar approach nationally, Holadia feels confident that the brand sets itself apart.

“Customers and potential franchisees will know we aren’t here just to do a job, but rather, we’re here to make our customer’s homes a clean, safe and happy place,” he said.

For instance, no hero uses the same microfiber cloth to clean various rooms around the house, meaning there is no cross-contamination from the floor to the counter or from room to room. A fresh supply of cloths is used in each home, further preventing the risk of cross-contamination between Home Clean Heroes’ customers’ homes.

And while the company has big expansion goals for the future, Holadia is quick to point out that they aren’t just going to award a franchise territory to the first bidder. A selective process is in place for future Home Clean Heroes franchisees because the company wants to make sure the brand is properly represented as it enters new territories.

“We are awarding territories, not selling them,” he said. “There is a major difference between selling and awarding and we’re committed to finding the right franchisees to join our team.”
