According to Jamie Cecil,&nbsp;franchise sales and development director, <a href="http://brasstap.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=houston-chronicle-the-brass-tap-focuses-on-houston-for-development-9779" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">The Brass Tap</a> is aiming to have its first Houston location up and running in 2017 with the hopes of adding others soon after.&nbsp; 
 
The franchise taps into regional flavors and brewers to create an authentic local atmosphere for their guests.&nbsp; 
 
&quot;That&#39;s where The Brass Tap comes in,&quot; Cecil told the Houston Chronicle. &quot;We get those local and regional beers that people have grown accustomed to and bring them in so people can enjoy them.&quot;
