After getting married and having a child, the couple decided to move back to the United States where they could be closer to Eric’s family in Georgia.Back in his hometown of Braselton, Eric began to look for new job opportunities. During his search, he received a call from a franchise broker. At first, he didn’t think anything of it, as neither he nor Rona had ever been business owners. But after speaking with the broker, he thought it sounded like something he might be interested in.“I never thought about franchising at first. The only thing I really knew about the industry was gas stations and McDonald’s,” Eric said.After doing some research, the idea of owning a business and giving back to their community started becoming more attractive to the couple. Eventually, Eric found three different franchise concepts to potentially invest in, one of them being<a href="https://frenchiesnails.com/own-a-frenchies/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=how-eric-rona-falls-found-a-business-they-believe-in-with-frenchies-2722197" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">&nbsp;Frenchies Modern Nail Care</a>. And when Eric told Rona about Frenchies, her eyes lit up.“I have always loved getting my nails done,” Rona said, “When I was in my early 20s, I would just about sacrifice meals just for it. This is something I’m really passionate about.”The couple decided they would explore Frenchies as a franchise, and they quickly fell in love. According to Rona, they really appreciated how Frenchies places a heavy focus on being a clean and healthy nail salon, and they love the brand’s approach to customer service.“They’re super clean, and they use organic products that are natural, cruelty-free and vegan friendly. While I was hearing these things, my eyes were getting bigger and bigger. I was really impressed with Frenchies,” Rona said. “And looking at it from a consumer perspective, I would be the perfect Frenchies client. I would sign up for the membership and buy their products.”Frenchies offers a monthly membership model that provides members with everything from discounts on products to lower prices on nail care services, referral rewards and more. This business model was something that piqued Eric’s interest especially, as he liked the idea of Frenchies’ recurring revenue stream.After meeting with the Frenchies leadership team and the franchise community, Eric and Rona decided it was a no-brainer and pulled the trigger. The couple signed on with Frenchies in 2018, and one year later they opened their very own Frenchies Modern Nail Care studio in Braselton, Georgia.As first-time business owners, the couple has already had to overcome difficult challenges, like COVID-related restrictions. However, they say that the Frenchies team has given them ample support and the backing to help keep them open. Now, as COVID lockdowns have lifted, the Falls say they’ve just about rebounded.“We’ve been really lucky to be able to open a business with this group. The corporate team has just been phenomenal. I cannot say enough good things about them,” said Rona. “Even on our slow days, we’re fully booked.”The couple, now focused on scaling their business, have signed on to open their second Frenchies location in Gainesville, Georgia, which they expect to be open within the next two years.The cost to open a Frenchies Modern Nail Care franchise ranges from $262,444 to $447,016.
