Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12, and franchise brands are making the most of the holiday as a marketing opportunity to celebrate mamas everywhere. A few examples:
QSR Magazine reports that Tim Hortons is offering “Mom-sized” 52-ounce iced coffees in select restaurants complimentary for mothers—and that includes Dog Moms.
Kentucky Fried Chicken will offer free delivery through GrubHub, encouraging moms to “let the Colonel cook.” The brand is also offering downloads of personalized video messages from the Chickendales, toned shirtless clones of the aforementioned Colonel.
Nando’s PERi-PERi is offering half-priced glasses and pitchers of Sangria at all of its 42 locations on Mother’s Day, and TCBY will be handing out free small cups of frozen yogurt to moms across the country.
Meanwhile, Franchising.com writes that Hooters is dishing out free entrees for moms at participating locations nationwide.
With women more likely to become moms now than a decade ago, Mother’s Day specials are a big opportunity for brands to get their names out there—and this wide variety of promotions proves that no matter what your product is, a mom somewhere will probably be into it.
