Today I'd like to talk about employee retention and how to retain your top talent.

SKILL + WILL = TALENT

Investing in your people is always a worthwhile venture and creates a pipeline of talent ready to move along the career ladder.

While you likely have a small subset of employees who do not wish to expand their role and are content to remain in place for years, you have far more who want a chance to keep growing and learning.

When employees are left to stagnate in the same position, without a chance to expand their responsibilities or capabilities, the grass is going to start to look much greener next door, resulting in discontented teammates ready to seek employment elsewhere.

Think of opportunities like fertilizer. They nourish your employees and give them a chance to fully bloom.

To retain talent and have strong employee retention, you have to be prepared to offer new opportunities.
