Iconic New York Pizzeria Grimaldi's Begins Franchising

“Grimaldi's Pizzeria has launched its first domestic franchise program to qualified operators across the U.S. this month,” according to an article on Pizza Marketplace.

The brand was started by Patsy Grimaldi in 1991 in Brooklyn, New York. The majority of locations were purchased by now-CEO Joseph Ciolli, according to an article in Eater.

According to Pizza Marketplace, Ciolli said in a company press release: "We have an incredible brand with more than 100 years of history in its making, enjoyed by pizza lovers from around the world. With best in class culinary offerings and a highly capable leadership team poised for growth, we are now ideally positioned to deliver our exceptional guest experiences to neighborhoods all around the U.S. through franchising."  

The franchise advisory firm, MSA Worldwide, has partnered with Grimaldi’s “to optimize the franchise program for ongoing franchisee support,” the article said.
