&ldquo;Grimaldi&#39;s Pizzeria has launched its first domestic franchise program to qualified operators across the U.S. this month,&rdquo; according to an article on <a href="https://www.pizzamarketplace.com/news/grimaldis-begins-franchising/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=iconic-new-york-pizzeria-grimaldis-begins-franchising-2709629" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">Pizza Marketplace</a>. 

The brand was started by Patsy Grimaldi in 1991 in Brooklyn, New York. The majority of locations were purchased by now-CEO Joseph Ciolli, according to an article in <a href="https://ny.eater.com/2019/3/21/18275871/grimaldis-pizzeria-arizona-sale-nyc?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=iconic-new-york-pizzeria-grimaldis-begins-franchising-2709629" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">Eater</a>. 

According to Pizza Marketplace, Ciolli said in a company press release: &quot;We have an incredible brand with more than 100 years of history in its making, enjoyed by pizza lovers from around the world. With best in class culinary offerings and a highly capable leadership team poised for growth, we are now ideally positioned to deliver our exceptional guest experiences to neighborhoods all around the U.S. through franchising.&quot; &nbsp;

The franchise advisory firm, MSA Worldwide, has partnered with Grimaldi&rsquo;s &ldquo;to optimize the franchise program for ongoing franchisee support,&rdquo; the article said.
