IFA President and CEO Invites Members to Sign Letter of Support for Puzder’s Cabinet Nomination

President-elect Trump nominated Puzder to serve as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor.

International Franchise Association president and CEO Robert Cresanti sent an email to IFA members on Thursday inviting them to sign a letter of support for the nomination of Andy Puzder to serve as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor. The letter will be sent to the U.S. Senate in January.

Andy Puzder is a member of IFA’s Board of Directors and is the Chief Executive of CKE Restaurants, which includes Hardees’, Carl’s Jr., Green Burrito and Red Burrito restaurants brands.

“I know from personal experience that Andy is an exceptional choice to lead the Labor Department, and will be a true champion for the franchise business model at the highest levels of government,” wrote Cresanti in the email. “It is only fitting that the Labor Department, the agency responsible for ensuring the nation's labor policy is properly balanced, be led by someone with a proven track record for creating jobs, growing a business, and opening pathways for people to have successful careers and even own their own businesses.”
