International Franchise Association president and CEO Robert Cresanti sent an email to IFA members on Thursday inviting them to sign a <a href="http://franchise.org/sites/default/files/Puzder%20IFA%20CEO%20Letter_1220.pdf?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=ifa-president-and-ceo-invites-members-to-sign-letter-of-support-for-puzders-cabinet-nomination-8801" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">letter of support</a> for the nomination of Andy Puzder to serve as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor. The letter will be sent to the U.S. Senate in January.

Andy Puzder is a member of IFA&rsquo;s Board of Directors and is the Chief Executive of CKE Restaurants, which includes Hardees&rsquo;, Carl&rsquo;s Jr., Green Burrito and Red Burrito restaurants brands. 
 
&ldquo;I know from personal experience that Andy is an exceptional choice to lead the Labor Department, and will be a true champion for the franchise business model at the highest levels of government,&rdquo; wrote Cresanti in the email. &ldquo;It is only fitting that the Labor Department, the agency responsible for ensuring the nation&#39;s labor policy is properly balanced, be led by someone with a proven track record for creating jobs, growing a business, and opening pathways for people to have successful careers and even own their own businesses.&rdquo;
