A soaring increase in orders has caused Impossible Foods, which makes meatless alternatives, to ask for a helping hand from OSI, according to <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2019/07/31/business/impossible-manufacturing-partner/index.html?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=impossible-foods-partners-with-major-meat-processor-to-produce-fake-meat-2710622" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">CNN</a>.&nbsp;

OSI has over 65 facilities in 17 countries and has partnered with Impossibleto allow the faux meat-processing company to use their Chicago meat-processing site to create Impossible&rsquo;s meatless products. According to the article, Impossible will produce their product line inside a replica of the company&rsquo;s Oakland facility maintained within OSI&rsquo;s Chicago plant.

&ldquo;OSI employees who make the product have to key into the room,&rdquo; the article states. &ldquo;The separation protects the plant-based protein from meat and other contamination.&rdquo;&nbsp;

Impossible Foods&rsquo; President Dennis Woodside describes &ldquo;the deal as a long-term, multi-year partnership,&rdquo; the story said.
