Murali Tirupuranane and Hitesh Patel will be opening their own MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes location in mid-November.

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes* will be opening in Newport News on November 14, 2016.

Murali Tirupuranane and Hitesh Patel will be the franchise owners of the new location, which will mark the second fast-casual burger franchise on the Peninsula.

"At MOOYAH, locals enjoy the 'better burger' with fresh ingredients made to order every day," Patel said. "With vibrant colors and a modern feel, diners are given a comfortable and lively vibe."

MOOYAH was ranked No. 38 in Fast Casual Magazine's Top 100 Movers and Shakers in 2016.

"Virginia, with its family-friendly and community vibe, is the ideal market for MOOYAH," added Michael Mabry, chief operating officer for MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes.
