Instagram’s popularity in modern society is undeniable, especially considering the Facebook-owned photo and video sharing platform surpassed a billion users in June. Instagram’s worldwide reach makes it an extremely appealing marketing tool for brands, one that can prove extremely lucrative if utilized strategically.

In a recent article, AdWeek predicted how marketers will use the platform to engage mobile audiences over the next year. Due to Instagram’s visual nature, increased emphasis on IGTV and Stories ads using vertical video is sure to come about. Further,  more effective influencer marketing that brings smaller brands success on the platform and additional shoppable ad features are all poised to gain traction with marketers in 2019.
