June Jobs Report 2019: U.S. Economy Added 224,000 Jobs

The unemployment rate is 3.7%.

The June jobs report found that U.S. employers added 224,000 jobs last month, according to a CNBC report. 

The unemployment rate rose slightly to 3.7%, and the professional and business services sectors added 51,000 jobs, according to the CNBC report. 

The transportation and warehousing sectors added 24,000 jobs, while construction added 21,000 jobs and manufacturing added 17,000 jobs, according to the report. CNBC also reported that 35,000 jobs were added to the healthcare sector in June.
