Knoxville News Sentinel: Your Pie Announces Plans to Dominate Tennessee

The success of Your Pie's only Tennessee location has prompted a statewide expansion, and the brand is looking at Knoxville next.

They'll be joining similar down-the-line concept restaurants, but Your Pie's unique offerings are sure to stand out among them. Brand executives believe their execution of it is better, down to the brick oven and the craft beer, and — an exclusive — a full selection of Italian gelato (ice cream).

"We have an ambience that is different from our competitors," said Ken Caldwell, Your Pie's vice president for development. "It invites people to sit down and hang out with a craft beer. We also do paninis and chopped salads, along with gelato. The gelato is a nice draw, particularly for kids. It helps bring families in."

Expanding to Knoxville is appealing to Your Pie, especially to be within close proximity to the University of Tennessee.

"Knoxville is a market we're intrigued by," he said. "It's a university town, and also a good family town. We do well in Athens, Clemson and Murfreesboro, with the universities there. We see Knoxville as a three- or four-store market. We would love to find the right partner to do business with in Knoxville."
