Largest Planet Fitness Franchisee Group Acquires 19 More Clubs

The Planet Fitness brand’s largest franchisee, United PF Partners, has acquired another franchisee in Phoenix, Arizona, according to a Club Industry report.

The acquisition means that United PF Partners will add 19 more Planet Fitness clubs to its portfolio, bringing its total count to 108.

This isn’t the first time United PF Partners has purchased another Planet Fitness franchisee. In 2017, United PF Partners purchased the Thomas group in Phoenix and the Sinopoli/Hurring/Siragusa group in New Orleans, according to the article.

"We have known and admired the Phoenix group for several years, and the United PF team is thrilled to welcome the Phoenix clubs to our growing enterprise," United PF Partners CEO Trey Owen said in a statement, according to the article. "This fast-growing group and high-performing team will fit nicely with our existing family of clubs, furthering our ability to share best practices and leverage scale across all of our clubs."
