Snider’s <a href="https://1851franchise.com/limepainting">LIME Painting</a> franchise, based in the Denver, Colorado suburb of Castle Rock, first opened in January 2019 and business has been booming ever since.&nbsp;A professional residential and commercial painting franchise, LIME Painting was first founded in 2014 and primarily caters to luxury high-end homes and buildings. LIME Painting’s wide array of services includes carpentry, custom door restoration, drywall, epoxy coatings, gutters, masonry and stucco, and the brand is currently seeking to partner with growth-minded franchisees, particularly in <a href="https://1851franchise.com/limepainting/californias-huge-luxury-home-market-is-why-lime-painting-franchise-sees-strong-opportunity-2709538#industry">California</a> and <a href="https://1851franchise.com/limepainting/lime-painting-targets-texas-strong-labor-market-and-high-end-real-estate-for-growth-2710705#franchisor">Texas</a>.&nbsp;Snider, a former youth minister, first learned about LIME Painting about five years ago when he worked in advertising sales. Snider did exceptionally well as a LIME Painting salesperson, amassing about $4 million in sales for the brand over the course of four years. Snider’s <a href="https://1851franchise.com/limepainting/from-employee-to-business-owner-matthew-snider-lime-paintings-first-franchisee-2709537#franchisee">desire to further maximize his earning potential led him to franchise</a> with the brand.&nbsp;The payoff has been huge.&nbsp;“I did almost half a million in sales my first year as a LIME Painting franchisee,” Snider said. “I was the only employee and was just basically running two full-time painting crews. I definitely made more money with LIME Painting than I did when I had my best sales year as a salesman, so that was good.”&nbsp;The Castle Rock franchise also has garnered positive online ratings that have provided Snider with a steady stream of business, which speaks to the high value the brand can bring to a neighborhood.&nbsp;“I got to number one on Nextdoor, a very popular social community neighborhood website,” Snider said. “That’s what people are using more now to find painters, more than Google. When I started my franchise a year ago, I was No. 88, but within about four months I grabbed the top spot for recommended painting companies. I’ve been getting four to five calls a day just from that site alone.”Snider said his franchise typically follows what he refers to as “three seasons.” In other words, the year’s tasks are divided up based on the area’s weather. The first third of the year is devoted to spreading the word about LIME Painting with homeowners in multi-million dollar neighborhoods to let them know the service is available to them. He does this through guerrilla marketing, which includes literally knocking on people’s doors to let them know about LIME Painting and leaving them flyers about the business if no one answers.“At LIME Painting, we do a lot of custom services that we can’t really maximize if we’re just servicing homes that are not within our home value demographics of $1 million in value and above,” Snider said. “The goal is to talk to the homeowner at their front door and the result is usually that one out of three prospective customers will provide their contact information. It’s a numbers game.”&nbsp;The second part of the year is when jobs are in process and everything is being done to ensure clients are receiving the brand’s signature high level of service. The third season is when business tends to slow down, but that’s when franchisees can fill their days by building their key industry partners like high-end realtors, designers, property management companies and the like.“It’s a good time to develop industry contacts, especially with custom builders who build larger homes,” Snider said. “They will ultimately be your franchise’s best referral source.”&nbsp;Snider is glad he decided to franchise with LIME Painting. His Castle Rock franchise certainly keeps him busy and provides excellent revenue opportunity.&nbsp;“I’m set with this one franchise,” he said. “It covers a big territory. I barely scratched the surface this past year. There were so many estimates I couldn’t even get to as an owner-operator because of the high volume of work.”&nbsp;While he is certainly a hands-on franchisee, Snider does plan to expand his team in 2021.
