McDonald's Expands Breakfast Menu to Combat Slowing Sales

The brand intends to draw guests back to its restaurants through an assortment of new breakfast menu items and value deals.

McDonald’s will soon be beefing up its breakfast selection. According to a recent article in CNBC, the brand has announced that it will be introducing new breakfast items across the nation as a solution to stalling sales. Foot traffic has decreased for the company in locations across the nation. The company has not yet revealed what those specific items will be but they are intended to entice guests to return to their local McDonald’s.

“We want to do better at breakfast. We've got some initiatives in place, which we are going see out through the next few months, and also some new food news, which we think will reenergize the daypart,” said CEO Steve Easterbrook.

Additionally, the brand will be introducing a series of value deals on both a regional and national scale.
