Iconic fondue franchise Melting Pot is eyeing a return to the Lexington market. After closing its first location in the market in 2015, demand for the Melting Pot experience has grown, and the other location in the state has remained highly successful.
Now, after advanced analysis of the Lexington market, Melting Pot is confident in the opportunity and ready to revive its presence.
“We have a lot of data points that make it essentially a reality in our mind that we need to be there,” Collin Benyo, franchise growth strategist, told the Lexington Herald Leader. “We know with the right person, we can make Lexington a success, and that’s why it’s in the top 10 for me to pursue in finding new franchisees to build the brand, and Lexington is a perfect place to do it.”
The focus on Lexington is part of a larger growth push for the fondue franchise. There are currently six restaurants in development, and the brand is looking to maintain steady growth.
While previous experience in restaurants and hospitality can be useful, it is not a mandate for Melting Pot franchisees thanks to the brand’s simple operations and focus on experiential dining.
“The people that we’ve dealt with the last four or five groups that we’ve signed for franchises have no hospitality background whatsoever because of the simplicity of what we do,” Benyo said.
Rather, owners should be dedicated to service and excited to provide the Perfect Night Out to each guest, every time.
