When Denise Foust and her late husband, DeWayne, brought Melting Pot to San Antonio 20 years ago, they envisioned a place where the community could gather and connect. Now, as Melting Pot celebrates its 50th anniversary nationwide, Denise and her son, Corey are marking both this milestone and the 20th anniversary of their own location with a stunning remodel and grand reopening.

While the new look and feel is an exciting update to the iconic brand, the grand reopening is about far more; it embodies the brand's commitment to evolution and celebrates the passionate team members who bring the Melting Pot experience to life.
"As we celebrate this incredible 50-year milestone for the brand and 20 years of service in San Antonio, it’s inspiring to see Corey and Denise embrace the Melting Pot Evolution program and continue to elevate the experience for the guests,” said CEO Bob Johnston. “This remodel perfectly captures the modern, inviting atmosphere we're cultivating while honoring the brand's legacy of connection and celebration."
To celebrate both the 20th anniversary and the restaurant’s new look, the first 50 guests who made a reservation for the night of the grand reopening, January 22, received a complimentary 20th anniversary four-course fondue experience. In total, the event brought in over 100 local guests, including local community members, city dignitaries and influencers.
“This remodel is all about creating a gathering place for our community, so we wanted to truly celebrate the milestone with them," Corey said. "We want our guests to feel comfortable and connected in this refreshed space. With a more open layout and stylish updates, we're enhancing the dining experience while maintaining the welcoming atmosphere we've always cherished."
The remodel, part of the Melting Pot Evolution design initiative focused on growing sales revenue centers, features a complete overhaul of the interior, creating a contemporary and comfortable space. Guests will immediately notice a more open, inviting floor plan, a focus on the bar and warmer, more playful lighting elements.

“We've worked hard to create a space where guests feel welcomed and comfortable, whether they're celebrating a special occasion or enjoying a casual night out," Corey said. "The Melting Pot Evolution program gave us an opportunity to truly enhance the dining experience."
The San Antonio grand reopening is just one of many exciting developments for Melting Pot in 2025. The brand recently completed 65 remodels in 2024 alone and is gearing up for a year-long celebration of its golden anniversary with initiatives like the "Love Takeover" campaign launching in February.
As the Fousts look toward the future of Melting Pot San Antonio and their own future with the brand, Corey says, simply, “Right now, we’re focused on staying rooted in the community.”
"Melting Pot has always been about bringing people together," Johnston said. “This remodel in San Antonio, along with our 50th-anniversary celebrations, is a testament to the enduring power of connection and the joy of shared experiences.”
