During the interview, Wheeler shares how his path to ownership was far from planned. After earning a degree in English education, he worked in restaurants (including&nbsp;<a href="https://1851franchise.com/meltingpot/info">Melting Pot</a>) to pay the bills, all while thinking his future lay outside the hospitality industry.However, life took an unexpected turn when his mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Wheeler took time off to spend with her, traveling the country and making lasting memories. When he returned to Melting Pot, a former manager suggested he consider stepping into a leadership role. Although Wheeler was initially hesitant, he gave it a try — and immediately found his passion. He quickly discovered that managing a restaurant was more than just running operations; it was about impacting the lives of employees and customers.Wheeler goes on to describe the unique dining experience the Melting Pot offers its customers. Unlike traditional restaurants, the Melting Pot's interactive, leisurely-paced meals allow diners to slow down, reconnect and truly enjoy the dining process.
