With more than 4,000 salons across the U.S. and Canada,&nbsp;<a href="http://greatclips.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=memphis-daily-news-great-clips-targets-memphis-for-development-12491" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Great&nbsp;Clips</a>&nbsp;is now looking at development opportunities in Memphis. The brand has plans to open as many as 40 locations throughout the area based on the sheer size of the market.

&ldquo;With more than a million people living in the greater Memphis market, this is very similar to some of the other 180-plus markets where we cut hair,&rdquo; said&nbsp;<a href="https://greatclips.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=memphis-daily-news-great-clips-targets-memphis-for-development-12491" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Great&nbsp;Clips</a>&nbsp;Chief Operating Officer Rob Goggins in an interview with the Memphis Daily News. &ldquo;Since we have a strong presence in nearby markets, it was an obvious choice to continue our expansion into the Memphis market.&rdquo;

In order to spark development,&nbsp;Great&nbsp;Clips&nbsp;signed an exclusive broker as well as two existing franchisees to focus on the Memphis metropolitan area.

&ldquo;There are areas that we are targeting within this market,&rdquo; said one of the first Memphis franchisees, Kristy Beliew. &ldquo;Areas that are very family-oriented, where we can get involved in the community.&rdquo;

Beliew&nbsp;owns two locations in Arkansas, and based on her unparalleled experience with&nbsp;Great&nbsp;Clips, is eager to further the brand&#39;s success in Memphis.

&ldquo;If people come through the door and try us out once, we feel like they will return,&rdquo; she said.
