Mercedes-Benz Stadium Chick-fil-A Will NOT be Open on Super Bowl Sunday

The fast-food company is sticking to its Sunday policies.

Chick-fil-A may have some prime real estate with its location inside the Mercedez-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, but don’t expect it to be open on Super Bowl Sunday, according to a Vox report.

Citing information from a Sports Illustrated article, the Vox article noted that the Mercedes-Benz Stadium Chick-fil-A stand will instead be selling fries from a different chain.

“Our founder, Truett Cathy, made the decision to close on Sundays in 1946 when he opened his first restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia,” Chick-fil-A stated on its website, according to the article. “Having worked seven days a week in restaurants open 24 hours, Truett saw the importance of closing on Sundays so that he and his employees could set aside one day to rest and worship if they choose — a practice we uphold today.”
