Detroit will see a new name in the competitive field of coffee shops: <a href="http://www.gloriajeans.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=mlivecom-gloria-jeans-coffees-targets-michigan-for-growth-12284" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Gloria Jean&#39;s Coffees</a>.

Gloria Jean&#39;s has two locations in the state - one in Portage, near Kalamazoo, and one that opened this spring in Rochester Hills.Now, the franchise-owners, Eric Vo and Sarah Racer, are planning another opening for a second store in Auburn Hills.

&quot;We are looking to build-out in the Midwest,&quot; he said this week.&nbsp;

&quot;We think that there&#39;s a number of locations that would work for us,&quot; Balconi said. &quot;Historically shopping malls were our bread and butter. We&#39;ll continue to be there.

But many locations, like in Auburn Hills, will be inline retail centers or even downtown. Store requirements are about 1,200 square feet.
