Yahoo Finance: Modern Market Eatery Cooks Up Orlando Expansion

The fast-casual franchise is looking to open seven locations across the Orlando area over the next six-to-seven years.

Modern Market Eatery, a fast-casual dining brand focusing on healthier options, is expanding its franchise development plans to include the Orlando market, according to Yahoo Finance. The brand aims to establish seven restaurants in the area over the next six-to-seven years.

“Given the industry forecast that healthy eating will be prioritized by Americans for years to come, we believe franchisees in Orlando will be set up for success as they spread our mission to redefine fast casual dining in Florida," said Chief Development Officer Chris Cheek.

The brand’s menu features a variety of fresh options including salads, grain and protein bowls, sandwiches, soups, and pizzas, catering to health-conscious consumers.

The initial investment to franchise with Modern Market Eatery ranges from $728,500 to $1.47 million, including a $40,000 franchise fee. The average unit volume is $2.6 million. Each restaurant is expected to create up to 25 full- and part-time jobs, contributing to local employment opportunities.

Recently, Modern Market Eatery partnered with Thrive Restaurant Group, a major Applebee's franchise operator, to open approximately 40 restaurants across eight markets. The brand also recently celebrated the opening of its first drive-thru restaurant in Colorado Springs.
