Things are going to get a little sweeter on the first day of spring at Dairy Queen. According to a <a href="http://time.com/money/4706055/dairy-queen-free-ice-cream-cone-day/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=money-dairy-queen-is-giving-away-free-ice-cream-cones-on-the-first-day-of-spring-11167" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">recent MONEY article</a>, the brand will be celebrating its annual Free Cone Day across the country at participating locations.

On Free Cone Day customers can each receive a free small cone of vanilla ice cream on March 20 and donate to a good cause. The chain will be accepting donations for the Children&rsquo;s Miracle Networks Hospitals. Last year, DQ reports that it raised $200,00 nationwide and in history, the brand has raised more than $120 million for the cause.

&quot;Obviously, it&#39;s not required, but all fans are encouraged to,&quot; said a Dairy Queen spokesperson.
