How Mosquito Hunters Franchisee Josh Corle is Building a Community of Customers on the Jersey Shore
A New Jersey Mosquito Hunters franchisee is setting himself up for success by focusing on providing quality mosquito abatement services and getting to know his customers.
When Mosquito Hunters franchisee Josh Corle defines success, he doesn’t look at the numbers. Of course, making sales and bringing in profitable revenue is important in running a successful business, but Corle is focused on the customer.
“For me, it’s about making customers happy and hearing from customers who want to let me know how satisfied they are with our services, because they’re able to go out and enjoy their yard again,” said Corle. “I love hearing about how kids are no longer getting eaten up by mosquitos while playing in the backyard or a customer was able to host their daughter’s small wedding in the backyard of her childhood home. Hearing these things is much more rewarding than the number of sales that we record in a year.”
Corle became interested in opening his own Mosquito Hunters franchise after a friend introduced him to the brand. He holds a degree in biology and studied zoology in college, so after learning more about the mosquito abatement industry and considering the idea of launching a franchise with his past experience in sales, he knew that Mosquito Hunters was the opportunity for him. Corle was able to connect with the franchise development team at Happinest, the umbrella company of Mosquito Hunters, and secure a territory to call his own.
Since launching his Mosquito Hunters business, Corle has doubled the numbers of customers he serves. In 2022, he hopes to secure 600 customers and continue growing from there while also getting to know his customers and allow them to get to know him. The goal for Corle is to be known as The Mosquito Hunter who gives people their yards back. Eventually, he wants to be the top franchisee for the brand and reach 1,000 customers, but to get there, he believes that the main focus needs to stay on the customers.
Corle’s territory is along the central Jersey Shore, from Point Pleasant South to Long Beach Island. “We’re in a breeding area for mosquitos because of the marshland and swampland,” said Corle. “Those are areas where mosquitoes are breeding during the peak season, giving us an opportunity to reach our goal of doubling our customer base.”
"Franchisees like Josh are at the very core of what we do,” said Ronald Ens, franchise development manager at Mosquito Hunters. “Their success is Mosquito Hunters' success, and we're proud to support our franchisees as they grow their businesses. Demand for at-home services like ours is at an all-time high, and we're looking forward to tapping into this opportunity as we continue to grow throughout 2022 and beyond."
How Mosquito Hunters Sets Up Franchisees for Success
The pathway to happy customers and success as Mosquito Hunters franchisees comes from the support offered from the brand and the Happinest umbrella.
“Working with Mosquito Hunters has been a really great experience,” said Corle. “They’ve created a family-type atmosphere, giving us access to internal support whenever we need it. This access has given us the opportunity to build relationships with leadership — I can call our CEO Andy Fuller, and he’s able to offer insight.”
Corle has found that being a franchisee with Mosquito Hunters not only gives you access to the leadership team, but also to other franchisees with the brand. “We’re able to work together and bounce ideas off each other to find out what’s working and what isn’t,” added Corle.
Although Corle is in the early stages of his business, he’s motivated to get things up and running. “We had a great season with over 300 customers, so we’re looking to build on that and become a household name in our community,” he added.
The total investment necessary to open a Mosquito Hunters franchise ranges from $73,937 to $96,437. The franchise license fee ranges from $60,000 and $70,000. For more information on franchising opportunities with Mosquito Hunters, visit https://mosquitohuntersfranchise.com
