<a href="https://www.bk.com/franchising/why-BK?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=move-over-big-mac-burger-king-launches-rival-big-king-xl-2708933" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">Burger King</a> seems to really enjoy trolling McDonald&rsquo;s, and they&rsquo;re actually getting quite good at it. 

After <a href="https://1851franchise.com/burger-king-offers-one-cent-whoppers-to-mobile-orders-place-at-mcdonald-s-2708611" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">last month&rsquo;s stunt</a> where downloading the Burger King app within 600 feet of a McDonald&rsquo;s earned customers a one cent Whopper, the chain has struck again, this time with a menu addition that closely resembles McDonald&rsquo;s famous Big Mac. 

The BIG KING XL, however, contains 175 percent more beef and cuts out the middle slice of bread, key differences the chain believes makes the burger a better offering than its competitor.

&ldquo;The BIG KING XL sandwich will make guests want to swap their bread for beef &mdash; literally,&rdquo; Burger King said <a href="https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20190117005100/en/New-BIG-KING-XL-Sandwich-BURGER-KING%C2%AE?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=move-over-big-mac-burger-king-launches-rival-big-king-xl-2708933" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">in a statement</a>.

To further jab its burger-slinging rival, Burger King is offering a promotion at select restaurants in Chicago today where customers with expired MacCoins (from McDonald&rsquo;s<a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2018/07/29/mcdonalds-unveils-maccoin-celebrate-big-macs-50th-anniversary/844522002/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=move-over-big-mac-burger-king-launches-rival-big-king-xl-2708933" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank"> 50th-anniversary celebration of the Big Mac</a> last year) can redeem them for a BIG KING XL.
