Nation's Restaurant News: Back Yard Burgers names Scott Shotter CEO

The industry veteran brings years of experience with brands ranging from Moe's Southwest Grill to Starbucks and Sbarro.

Back Yard Burgers has officially appointed a new CEO. According to a recent article in Nation's Restaurant News, Scott Shotter will step in to fill this leadership role. The position was previously occupied by David McDougall.
 
He will be leaving behind his role as VP of Operations for Moe's Southwest Grill. Shotter was a part of the Moe's team for nearly a decade before accepting this new position. His resume also includes work with brands ranging from Starbucks to Sbarro and Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, amongst others.

"We’re going to focus on the culinary and service experience Back Yard Burgers provides to our customers. We know that our franchise partners are going to be equally excited, and we look forward to rolling out what I believe is a well-planned growth strategy,” said Shotter.
