Nation's Restaurant News: Beef 'O' Brady's Prepares for Hurricane Matthew

The Tampa franchise restaurant is preparing for the intense storm that is making its way to Florida.

Hurricane Matthew was causing evacuations and concern along the east coast, and restaurants were preparing for the potential onslaught of the storm according to a recent article from Nation's Restaurant News. Beef 'O' Brady's, a franchise restaurant based in Tampa, has been serving communities in Florida for more than three decades and has seen many storms during that time. They know how important it is to prepare, so the corporate team was busy at work making sure that franchisees in potentially impacted areas had their support and guidance.

“Better be safe than sorry,” Carol DeCanio, VP of Training for Beef 'O' Brady's, told NRN. “Riding out the storm is not the best plan in most cases.”

The brand told NRN that about 100 of their nearly 200 locations were in areas that could be impacted. The corporate team provided checklists to franchisees, instructions on bagging and stocking ice, guidance on outreach to vendors, and made sure that employees had management's contact information in case restaurant phones went down.
