In 2017, Hector&nbsp;Mu&ntilde;oz&nbsp;took over as&nbsp;CMO&nbsp;of&nbsp;<a href="http://www.churchs.com/franchise.php?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=nations-restaurant-news-churchs-chicken-cmo-plots-new-brand-strategy-2706704" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Church&#39;s Chicken</a>&nbsp;after spending six years as&nbsp;CMO&nbsp;at&nbsp;<a href="http://company.popeyes.com/franchise/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=nations-restaurant-news-churchs-chicken-cmo-plots-new-brand-strategy-2706704" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Popeyes&nbsp;Louisiana Kitchen</a>.&nbsp;Mu&ntilde;oz&nbsp;plans to release a new brand strategy in the fourth quarter&nbsp;that&nbsp;focuses on highlighting the franchise&#39;s heritage.&nbsp;

&ldquo;It&rsquo;s got a lot of rich history, and a lot of these assets have been dormant for the last 10, 15, 20 years,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;So it&rsquo;s my job now to revitalize that, be in a position to create a story and be able to articulate that moving forward in an effort to become relevant.&rdquo;

Mu&ntilde;oz&nbsp;is looking forward to promoting the brand&#39;s culinary expertise by focusing on its innovative recipes including its spicy chicken, biscuits and bone-in chicken.&nbsp;
